Above All – Service to Others

At Ellis & Ellis Law, P.C., client service is our mission. Our firm strives to continue the inspired values of America’s Greatest Generation.  We gather strength from our roots and the service of Dr. Bernard (Bernie) H. Ellis, father of our Senior Attorney Martin L. Ellis, and grandfather to Attorney Daniel L. Ellis.

After Bernie H. Ellis, Sr. was wounded in WWII, he returned home and told his father of his desire to follow his father’s footsteps and go to medical school.  Bernie’s father put every penny he thought it would take to enroll him in medical school, but told him ‘not to touch a dime’ if he wouldn’t’ “go when they call.”  What Bernie H. Ellis, Sr.’s father meant was that if he wasn’t willing to be a man of the people a true country Doctor who would “go when they call no matter the hour of the night or the time of the day” that he shouldn’t even pursue being a doctor at all.   The practice of law is harsh and difficult and the circumstances our clients are in when they arrive at our door are in many ways like that 3:00 am phone call that Dr. Ellis and his father used to get – they are people in need of dedicated professionals who will show up, put there egos aside, and use all their experience and training to “fight like hell for the living” and seek justice and healing the best way we can.

Of course Dr. Bernard H. Ellis, MD went to Medical School and practiced as a general practitioner for 30 years before returning to school and becoming a psychiatrist.  So to does Martin L. Ellis put his 30 plus years of legal experience to the aid and service of each client we have the privilege of representing.

In memory and in trust to those great loved ones who have preceded us and in hope to leave a legacy worthy of them, “If you call, we go.” That philosophy is how we practice law.
